today I would love to share with you some of our Moroccan memories and tips for all of you, who is dreaming to come to Morocco! We choose to fly from London to Casablanca, spend there 2 nights in a fabulous hotel and relax a bit before a very intense trip.
First and (the last, except FourSeasons hotel…to be honest) the most important place to visit in Casablanca – is the mosque. The Hassan II mosque is the only mosque in Morocco opened for visits of tourists (not Muslims).
🕌 Construction costs (the whole construction was conducted for donations ☝🏻), of $ 800,000,000 was spent and seven years of round-the-clock work of builders and craftsmen.
🕌 The main decorations of the mosque are chandeliers, filigree carving on the cedar, gilding, mosaic of their wood and gypsum, as well as Arabic ligature and quotations from the Koran.
🕌 In the Ramadan timeline entrance for tourists is strictly by the hour: at 9:00; at 10:00 and at 11:00. Visit to the mosque, as well as the adjoining vast territory: the square, the museum of the mosque, the library and the art schools of the Koran.
🕌 To visit the mosque, women should have their shoulders and knees closed. And as a doctor I recommend to take with you WOOL socks, because stone floors with onyx are as beautiful as piercingly cold …

After Casablanca we took a car a moved to Chefchaouen – the blue pearl of Morocco! We spend there 1 day, took a dozen of pictures and moved forward…through Fez (Sahrai Hotel Fez – a wonderful place to stay!) to Merzuga Desert!
The road is pretty poor and wild, it took as about 9 hours driving from Fez to our Glamcamping…but guys, it’s real SAHARA! Can you imagine?
I still don’t believe we did it!

Okay, here are Tips & Tricks for a trip to the Sahara desert:
🏝 Sand. You just need to be morally ready or this. It will be everywhere. In the ears, in the nose, in the hair, and in all the clothes and bags for at least a month or two.
🏝 Weather. At nights it’s crazy cold, and from 8 am it’s treacherously hot.
🏝 Day regime. It is more comfortable in the summer to get up at 5-6 am in the morning and go to bed about 10 pm. If you pre-arrange the regime in advance, the body will feel comfortable.
🏝 Clothes. Same as shoes – everything should be made from natural fabrics, and I recommend suede shoes! For night gatherings under the Milky Way – warm clothes, for day trips – a turban !!! Be sure to take a very long stole of silk or cotton.
In summer it’s fine to sleep in cotton/silk pajamas, but in autumn-winter period you will need sleeping bags, sweaters and woolen socks.
🏝 Hair&Skin Care. Any variations of braided hair, skin care and cleansing products that work WITHOUT water … your skin and hair will say “thank you”.
🏝 Medicaments, “hermetic” adhesive plasters, thermal water, wet wipes, fruit (green apples 🍏) – prepare them in advance.
🏝 The Milky Way. If you want to see certain stars or Milky Way – look in advance at the phases of the moon, study the map of the starry sky at the point of future stay, the weather on the dates of the planned trip .. learn to shoot the sky in your city … And yes, do not forget about the tripod for your camera!

One of the main reasons to visit Marrakech for fashionistas is YSL museum ♥️ Brand new (opened this autumn) and full of absolutely exclusive materials, privat pieces, sketches and postcards…I easily could spend there a whole day 😍 as a big fan of YLS!
But if you are not, it is not a reason just passing by 😅☝🏻 At least check it together with Majorelle gardens!♥️
