Main reasons:
• High risk of ending up with melted makeup which is running out from the face
• Damaging skin by using the wrong products
• Having a shiny face, and that shine wouldn’t come from your glitter…
• Seeking comfort is natural, but when the heat appears, it becomes necessary
Using minimum products for hot days is logical, but what to do if you have a wedding or party or big event where you want to look your best or makeup is a part of a dress code?
- Hydrate your skin wisely!
Skin preparation is always a key for any makeup. During summer days, it’s better to switch from your daily cream to hydrating serum or fluid. You can also try hydrating primer; for some skin, it’s already enough.
- SPF
Modern foundations and primers not only help to keep moisture in your skin but also could contain SPF factors! Choose those who have SPF 30 to avoid multiple layers of products on the skin.
- Makeup setting spray
Here is the secret hack: spray it around the face after each step of your makeup, let the skin dry, and then move forward. Spray the finished makeup once again and be amazed in the evening. Don’t forget to come back and thank me later!:)

- Skip the powder!
Have you ever heard about Matte Blotting Papers? Use them instead of your powder to remove your sweat. Don’t move them around the face! Use it with multiple touches here and there, and leave a few packs in different summer bags.
- Go Foundation-Less
Walking around with all the smudges, smears, and sweat on your face isn’t fun. To avoid the weather-worn mess, use a light fluid foundation and concealer on points where your skin needs more attention. Another reason for good skin care – if your skin is clean, you don’t need to cover it with foundation.
- Waterproof formulas
Switch to waterproof versions of your favorite products, and don’t forget about makeup base! You need the special one for your eyes and any eye products you will use – eyeshadows, liners, and glitter. These products won’t smear, run, and can even handle the swimming pool party!

- Liquid and cream textures
Liquid and cream textures are designed to interact with liquids and fat-containing substances. If they are mixed with sweat, they do not roll over or leave any stains, unlike dry textures.
- Eyebrows secret
Apply eye primer above your brow hairline and only then tint them and fix with a gel. The primer will prevent sweat from smearing your makeup.
- Swap products
Use your eye cream for the lips instead of a lip balm. Eye cream won’t change the texture of lipsticks and glosses you apply on top, even on the hottest day!

I hope that my tips will help you this summer and you will have many happy moments with your summer makeup favourites! Sharing with you mine and wishing you a lot of hot days and nights this year!
