Harmful UV rays affect your skin 365 days a year. Therefore it is essential to protect your skin every single day, whatever how cloudy or sunny it is outside.
❓Did you know SPF is more than just a sun protection?
Almost everyone knows that an SPF protects your skin from harmful UV rays that cause the signs of aging, but what you may not know is that daily protection also allows your skin to repair itself from damage that has previously occurred.

🧴 HOW TO USE AN SPF
The easiest way to use is having a daytime moisturizer formulated with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or higher. If you are using a moisturizer without SPF, you can apply a sunscreen on top of it. I do the second option only when I don’t use any makeup, because serum, cream, sunscreen, make up base, foundation…it is too much for me!
In the morning, as the final step in your skincare routine, apply your moisturizer with SPF generously on your face (also around the eyes, ears, and the neck!) and other skin parts that are not covered by clothing. Make sure it is fully absorbed before applying foundation or face powder.
Generally speaking, you should reapply SPF every two hours, but if you’re staying indoors or not exposed to direct sunlight, your SPF should remain valid. However, if you are spending a lot of time outdoors, going swimming or sweating a lot, you should re-apply it throughout the day.

🧬CHOOSE A DAY MOISTURISER SUITABLE FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE🧪
For combination or oily skin prone to breakouts, I recommend using a synthetic sunscreen because of its light texture. Synthetic sunscreens absorb UV rays into the skin and convert them into heat, which is then released from the skin. They need to be fully absorbed to work their best, so it’s best to apply them at least 15 minutes before you go outside.
For dry or sensitive skin, mineral sun filters are more suitable.
My first best choice as a face sunscreen which was recommend by my cosmetologist is La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50+, and if your skin is feeling incredibly well during vacation, but 1 week later you start having inside-growing comedones – it’s the only sunscreen which gives 50+ protection + doesn’t clog anything. Super light and work absolutely amazing!
My second best choice is Shiseido Expert Sun Protector 50+, my husband loves it as well and if I go hiking I also use it a lot. I haven’t tried to use it every single day for 3 weeks (which I did in Bali with my first best choice), so…that’s why it’s less pressure on it and proud second place!)
