Hello, my dear Fashion lovers! We haven’t spoke for a while here, and I decided to come back with something incredibly useful for current (cold, unfortunately) summer. Knitted dress! Yes, we wouldn’t be able to wear such a dresses in 35 degrees heat, but this year we are able to do so π That’s why I am inviting you to go through my styling tricks together, and make sure that you look your best in any knitted dresses this summer, autumn, winter…and any seasons ahead. Because these dresses would be with us forever (try to find something more comfy and easy to style!), and it’s time to build your personal relationships with them!

The key piece of this look is a dress. Midi or maxi, white, red, or black (or any of your favourite colour would work just good) – think about monochromatic base for your outfit. One more small, but very important moment is here to help you: choose thin and vertical ribbed dress, like mine. It would give you a flattering look and make you visually taller.
Vertical cuts would make you look taller and skinnier (which has the same illusion effect in styling: everything that makes you taller, makes you look skinnier. It works both ways. ) So, as you can see here on my Revolve dress – it has two vertical cuts and I love them!
A thin belt could work for you, if the free-hanging part is longer than your waist and makes a vertical line. I use my Chanel jewellery chain as a belt, and it gives some high-end touch and made an accent on my waist at the same time. Try to go through your jewellery box in case you have any chains you could possibly use this way.
Straight styled hair (the longer – the more you would notice an effect) would visually elongate your body. As always, you could use one trick or all of them together depending on “How taller/skinnier/more flattering” you want to look today or tomorrow. This trick with hair works with any type of clothes, so between curls and straight hair,…I would go for straight, especially after quarantine π

Match the colour of your shoes with your dress – that would create colour consistency. Color consistency works in each in every look, it’s manipulative way to “scan” the look from top to toe (or the other way), but what’s the most important – in a vertical way! When we look at someone’s look and our attention goes vertical – we perceive the object narrower than if we were reviewing the same object, but moving our attention along horizontal lines. It sound very complicated and happens in our brain in a second when we see someone, however if you would pay a bit attention and learn this trick – you would have a Magic wand in your wardrobe’s pocket.
Bonus: to elongate your neck prefer V-neck line instead of round-cut. Just remember – the wider is V-neck line, the bigger look your shoulders. Would it play good or bad role, totally depends on your body type. So, make a picture in a mirror and look at yourself ON the PICTURE!:) Mirrors aren’t objective π
